Dr. Ikechi AGBUGBA
INTERNATIONAL CONSULTANT / RESEARCH & INNOVATION COORDINATORDr. Ikechi Agbugba is a profound food & agro economist with wide experiences in agriculture, agribusiness, economics of agriculture, project management, entrepreneurship development, food security, technology in agriculture (such as blockchain, AI and IOTs), among other areas. His career includes impactful project proposals in South African communities aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. He has consulted for the UN’s International Organisation for Migration, implementing horticulture and agricultural safety strategies in Nigeria.
About My Biography
Dr. Agbugba earned his PhD in Agricultural Economics from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, in 2014, and pursued a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the University of Fort Hare, South Africa. His research focused on smallholder collaborations with the Agricultural Research Council and South African universities under the NUFFIC Project. He has been an external examiner for several prestigious institutions and serves as a National Research Foundation Scholar, evaluating research outputs in Agricultural Economics.
